The Chapel Arts Gallery opens its doors to the public today following the launch of the Cheltenham Folk exhibition – a unique and internationally published photographic study of the people of Cheltenham. The photographs shown play with the traditional ideas people have of the town and display a cross-section of society. The aim is to express the beauty and character in everyone regardless of who they are.
The Exhibition will be open from the 27th February to the 16th March at the Chapel Arts Gallery (Knapp Road, Cheltenham, GL50 3QQ). During the private reception, there will also be an introduction to Project PEEL: A programme with measurable mental health benefits that is being piloted in schools, prisons and youth groups. PEEL helps us to navigate a noisy, anxious and online world.
Luckily, the exhibition is hard to miss given the 70ft reminder currently on show outside the Cheltenham Brewery.
